Some tracks not installing.

Hi guys,

After being away from simming for a while, I thought I'd started AC up which I sure haven't played for a long time.
So the install was pretty fresh, got into an argument with some mod manager (just like the first time and I remembered why I hated it) and took that one away.
(Setting different, can't install mods no matter what and I don't see the upside)

So I downloaded some tracks and tried them out.
Now; some work and others just throw you back to desktop.......
I install them manually and its not that hard, right?
Where can I begin to look when I want to fix it?

The one I remember is the Indianapolis track, the four in one from some AC club site.
That one throws me back, some other do too, but I haven't remembered them.

Also; a lot of the cars feel like they have a massive center steer effect; like there is a bungee cord in there. There is ffb, but this effect is way stronger.
There seems to be no setting for it.
My wheel is a TM pc-racer and I already tried the "damping" setting both ways.

Do you guys know some solutions? Any help is welcome, thank you.
