Single Player - Ability to drive a stint mid-race

For those of us to mostly race single player; rather than always starting race from beginning, it would be so cool to enter a race midway from the pits to drive a stint (or stints). Imagine jumping in a Porsche RSR at Le Mans at 3:00am in 6th place and trying to make up a few places! These mid-race scenarios could be so much more interesting after the field has spread out and mixed-up vs always starting from the beginning when all the cars are bunched up. The AI tend to race better deeper into the laps anyway.

You are so right. MLB games do this to simulate a season and drop you in half thru a game to try and pull out a win.
