Notes
Time Posted: 1:25:236

This track confuses me a lot, because it seems like the time trial laps for other people are bugged, like some of the times have not been reset since patch 2 or something.
I tried to race the quickest time, which is 3 seconds quicker then my own... and the amount of grip he has is absolutely ridiculous.

Then I tried one a bit further down, someone who has supposed to have set a 1:24:0, and I race against that ghost... and my ghost of 1:25:236 gets to the finish line before the 1:24:0 ghost....
This really confuses me, as I don't exactly know where my time is relative to others, so whether this setup sucks or not I don't know, and although I am from england, I do find this track difficult.

If it helps you then great, if it's not then you understand why.
hi kyle ive been using your set ups as a template for like ages thank you for posting and hope you keep up the good work, i have a play around with general set up of car but use your gearing as i just cant get it, only things different from you set up to mine it balance which i use 1. 11 and alignment at -3.40 -1.30 0.08 0.35 this gives me better drive out of corners and managed 1.24.437. what you think to the set up?

I don't get it why people still using 1/1 & 11/11 hight and springs as they are not the fastest during races. Silverstone is a good track for stiff car but not that much. Using time trial as a measurement of a GP/online/career car performance is not very representative. Also people tend to use 1/1 11/11 in the wet as well which is way too slow especially out of slow corners where you need to avoid the puddles and have some extra traction (which the stiff back doesn't offer). I am such a hater of TT, seriously :(

I've just done 2 laps on this circuit for the very first time using Kyle's set up in P1 and I have to say, OMG this circuit has changed so much. I've owned just about every F1 game since the good old days of the spectrum and I felt a little disorientated.
Of course it had to be wet and I've been on the grass on a few straights after a corner and managed a 1:45.9. Give me a few more laps and I'll have that down.

I've done a few more laps now and one thing really springs to mind, why did they rebuild the new beginning of the circuit similar to the old beginning and move the start line? Why not just leave the start line where it was and leave the circuit how it was. Im all for moving with the times etc. but Silverstone is one of the classic circuits and should have been left alone, I bet they never tamper with Monaco

Managed 1:22'7 on PC with Kyle's, just one thing, how do you opotimize that setup for the race? It runs like a beast on TT and Qualifying, getting mid 1:23s, and it's fast in the race with the wings turned to 9-9, getting 1:26'1 as fastest lap w/out DRS, but, what else do I have to do to optimise it for the race even further?
Thank you for your help! ;)

I did 123003, but as u said i guess i can find that 0.2.-0.3 s so 1227 is possible. on movie mid 123 but its hard to record perfect lap :D

ABS on, transmission automatic, TCS off, steering wheel

With Kyle's setup of course ! :D

My name is YuseiRagnarok on the PC :p. Using TC on medium, which is the time that got recorded. Managed 1:22'9 w/out TC and lots of sweating xD.

A number of tracks need 11-11 wings, because in time trial you have DRS and KERS, therefore you don't need the extra acceleration from a lower wing, that is the only reason why wings can be so high in time trial.

In race setups, you would probably only find 11-11 wings in tracks like Monaco.

Sorry Leopard, I only understand English.

Joss I got what you said, thanks for using my setups, I believe you said that you tend to go for a lower value in the front braking balance, so you can take slower corners easier for quicker acceleration.

I feel braking balance is purely down to the track, a great example of both extremes are..
1) Monaco, I have seen 52-56% front brake balance.
2) Monza, I have seen 48-44% front brake balance.

The nature of the track and your own driving style is what determines it usually.
