Silverline Inks Nelmes

Clayton Nelmes has signed an FSR contract with Silverline Racing and will be joining the World Trophy grid for 2011, according to media reports early Sunday morning.

Although it was known that Nelmes had signed a deal for the next Formula Sim Racing season, there was speculation as to who that outfit would be. Silverline has now positioned themselves as planned, for a strong 2011 campaign. Slovenian driver, Luka Oslakovic is already signed to a WS seat after putting up two impressive top 10 results for Silverline in the final two races of the 2010 calendar.

Although it is too soon to reach a spokesman for Nelmes, Australian news publications are reporting that a 1-year Silverline deal is in place which also presents the former GhostSpeed and Roaldo man with an option for extension, should the 2011 campaign prove successful.

At the end of last week, Silverline's Chief Engineer, Camilo Nino hinted that the team was conducting GP2 test sessions for 2011 Silverline hopefuls. It is not certain that Nelmes was among the guest drivers but what is certain is that he will be on the grid for Silverline in 2011, looking to build even more consistency behind the success he had this past season.
