F1 2010 Shanghai Shenanigins

Running a 75% length career mode race in Shanghai. Qualified 11th and after spinning out on lap 3 was in 24th. Due to pitting by other teams and fighting I was able to gain 5th position with 5 laps remaining. While entering the last turn before the home straight Hamilton dove in from the outside and clipped me causing me to spin. I quickly recovered and re-entered the track only to be black flagged for cutting the corner and was given a DSQ.

Needless to say I am frustrated and disappointed. I am new to the game and enjoying the immersion and overall quality of the challenge but this was a bit disheartening. Any others run into the same type of situation?

You can turn off flag rules

The penalty system in the game isnt the best, but then it is also a very hard element to code.

We have all been on the receiving end of some pretty messed up penalties both in single and multiplayer modes.

You either have to take it on the chin, or use a flashback (if you can). I dont see turning off the rules as a solution.
