Sean Edwards (1986 - 2013)

Today the horrible news reached us that fellow RD member, racing driver and avid sim racer Sean Edwards passed away whilst driving as a passenger at Australia's Queensland Raceway.

Sean was Down Under for a private driver coaching event in his beloved Porsche and according to the BBC hit the barrier during a session.

Incredibly sad right now. Probably my favorite driver and a close friend to allan simonsen. He is leading the Super Cup by 18 points with one round to go iirc right now. The things he was able to do with a 911 suggested he was born in one, and now he died in one. RIP, great talent lost.

Just watched the news report about this tragic accident, it is believed a mechanical failure was responsible for the crash. Sean was taking part in a driver training program at QLD raceway here in Oz, and was the passenger when the fatal crash happened. Very sad news, the passing of anyone so young and so talented is a huge loss indeed.
