F1 2011 Save Game Crash linked to mods??? & FPS

Ok thought I had everything soughted, replay set to read-only (fixed the stutter), auto-save turned off (fixed the start-up crash), my carrear going nicely, added a couple of mods and now I've got the save game crash again!!!! arghhhh only thing I did was add higher car textures & more aggression. Does anyone actually know what causes the save-game crash?? By the way I'm very surprised at some people with monster rigs getting crappy FPS (i.e. I-5/I-7 + decent vid card) and only getting 40-50fps, must be an Intel thing, my rig is an AMD 956, GTX560ti & 8 gig, everything ultra and it never drops below 65FPS.

It's not mods, as my save game crashes occur without any mods.
