I used the post #1 setup and was hitting 1:58:3 on Primes with the following conditions:
Assists - Off
Tyre wear/fuel sim - On
Career mode (Expert) - 1st race with Mercedes so no updates, engine mappings etc
Raised F/R Ride Height to 2 (probably makes very little difference)
PS3 with controller.

Finished 2nd, 0.5 seconds behind Hamilton and was by far the quickest in race pace as I closed a 5.5 second gap in 2 laps on yellow tyres.

First season in lotus team.

S1 Record - 30.9 (unbeaten)

I finally mastered that horrible uturn in s2 which gained me at least 2 seconds

Pure masterclass setup OP, excellent.

I cant wait to see what I get with it in a decent car lol

btw no rd upgrades yet in the lotus.

Second season in RBR now. but this setup doesn't work. I wonder why I can not drive on straight over 300km/h.

as so far this is a setup for career and the above mentioned settings and setups are somewhat personal.
for the better cars tweaking wing settingd and raising the ride hight and tweaking the gears will do the trick

Fantastic setup Ramon, just drove a few laps in a Lotus, 1:55:540 is reachable without taking any risks.

I need to know something right now I just got the game and when I see on the braking when u guys change it to like small or something mine always stays at standard how do u change that? And also under engine where it says throttle map it always stays at standard and I can't get that to change so how do u you do that?
Sorry for getting off topic but it's been bothering me forawhile.

So what was suspected is confirmed. The career is nothing more than restarting seasons with common statistic for the player. Reputation does not mean much for I have enough to sign with all but the top 3 teams, but I got offers only from Virgin, Lotus and HSR. It was stated the season goal would be to finish 4, once I move into the new season the goal changed to finish 15!
So back to the begining!
Sam Peacock's setup. Career year 4 of 7, Virgin, legend, no assists but traction, full sim. Qualification 1:57:804 7th ( pole Webber 1:56:314). Race first, 1:58:583 personal.
