Note 2: Odd Number Sign ups Race1 = Lotus / Race2 = Abarth Even number vice versa.
Note 2: 10 minute Superpole 3 laps (1x out lap 1x fast lap & an inlap )
but please use escape on the 3rd lap do not drive it

Rules:
If you have not entered the server and driven a few laps with fellow drivers before we go to qualifying you are to late for that session. Please think of your fellow drivers and get out on track with them, watch how they drive, you can't race with guys you have not seen drive.
We ALL brake a little differently and drive the corners differently, get used to how they drive and then we can all race more safely.
If you drop out of the server during qualifying you can return.

This is being held in our Club, using Club Rules, and should be driven in that spirit.

GUTTED! ABSOLUTELY GUTTED! :cry:

R1- BMW CSL with a setup a la @Denis Betty and I founf that I could drive the car quite quickly:confused:. Q6, but up to 4th by the T1 and 3rd by the end of lap 2. After T1 on lap 3 I was in 2nd and chasing Denis. I must just say that this was due to peoples off road excursions rather than my brilliant driving :p. Ondrej was hounding me for his 3rd place back, and unfortunately he clipped my rear going into T6 and I spun. I then proceeded to kill the engine by over revving when I had to clutch in to avoid on coming cars, Ce la vie.

R2 - Alpine A310 again with a setup by Denis, plus a few tweaks from me. Q5 just a second off @Yves Larose but I got THE. BEST.START. EVER. From 5th to first with a large gap before T1:confused::O_o::ninja::cool:. I just about managed to stay calm, and tried to concentrate on driving. And breathing, breathing is important. However, coming out of the last turn I changed up too late...smoke, grinding noises, screams of frustration, race exit. :poop:

Thanks to @Rupe Wilson , @Yves Larose for setting the races up, and @Denis Betty for the setups. You can fill in as race engineer while @Steven Walker is away :thumbsup:
 
After watching the replay, I can see that I let the engine rev too high a few times. While this is damn annoying for a club race, it could kill leagues for HistorX :(. A few blown engines and you could lose half the field.
The engines do seem more fragile for the race, is there any way of adjusting this in game? Or are the mod team working something out?

On a separate note, even with GID + the new .exe my engine health bar still isn't working.

honestly i think that neither XD or Gid are the right plug in for the mod, i use rFDynHud and i can run the engine pretty hard for most cars and even miss gear change and i still can finish my races without blowing the engine.
 
AHHHHH, I couldn't race last week because the track wouldn't load. So I loaded up the new one. Now last weeks track works and portland won't load i really wanna do some of the historx races. Just seems like the cards are stacked against me. Has anybody else having these probs. Fresh install just for this mod. Run nothing else in rf1 except this mod. One of the messages is "couldn't load corner slip something or other". Old forum said it had something to do with directx. Any clues guys?
