Rfactor 2 "How to play"

Hey all

I know this may sound stupid, but i understand that Rfactor 2 is still in beta to my knowledge, Would i of needed to sign up to the beta launch to be eligable to play Rfactor now?
Really like the look of this new sim racer and want to play it now

Yes, you have to purchase a license to play the beta version as well. You do get a longer subscribtion to it while it is in beta though, and if you do not like it, you can get a refund.

Where do i purchase a license. havent seen it clearly posted anywhere on there website.

Take a look at the first time installer document they made. All is clear there. Look in this topic (ISI Site) for all info, downloads and instructions.

Download the installer
Install the game
Go to the Purchase tab in the Launcher
Purchase an account
Download the content files, and place them in the package folder
Install content via Mod Manager
Play

About 35 - 40 euro's I believe. Not sure anymore about exact prices.

Indeed, it was 18 months when the initial release was done. The 18 months come from 6 months BETA testing, and 12 months final game.
As the beta testing is going on for 2 months now, I suspect that if you get the subscription now, it is for 16 months just about. Not sure about it though.

I just downloaded and installed rfactor2. Everything looks good but I have no "content", no cars or tracks[other than the one in the DEV area.
What did I miss in my install?

It came without any included cars or tracks, was that normal?
For mod's, understandably I have to get those. Is everything modded?

Yes, all content is released as mods.

Think of it as rfactor lite. A bit the same idea, except now they did it with the default content as well.
