After successfully running the Formula 3 Series during the last seven days we are proud to announce a new tin-top series being available for the popular RaceLog system.

As per right now the V8 Series are added to the existing Racing Club line-up bringing the brutal Peugeot and Chevrolet super touring cars back to where they belong: a competitive online series.

The V8 Series races with the JL G-09 model used by all teams in the series is made of a tubular chassis, covered by fiber glass bodywork shaped as a Chevrolet Sonic or Peugeot 408 car models, but with identical performance.

Powered by a V8 engine with 520 HP, 6-speed transmission and total weight rounding up to 1320 kg, the car can reach speeds of up to 270 km/h.

The vehicles are equipped with a so called “push –to-pass” system, similar to the real life series the driver can configure a button to boost the engine power in 50 HP for a few seconds, in order to assist overtaking other cars during race sessions.

The V8 Series start this week with three dedicated dates for officially ranked races on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday on a single track: Taruma (see video after the break )

After a great first week where various RaceDepartment members fought heroic battles on the short layout of Jacarepagua the RaceLog powered series now heads to the twisty circuit of Cascavel. This week you can join four official races on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday!

For last weeks results, hotlaps and the already infamous rankings check out RaceLog.
