The Formula 3000 cars make a return to Club Racing this week! Tuesdays event will take place at the wonderful track at Istanbul, Turkey where the cars legs and handling should bring a smile to the face of anyone with an interest in open wheelers. We'll be running two 30 minute sprint races, everyone should have a good time.
On Thursday We to Hochenheim Germany to an old favorite of a track to launch a new class of cars for us at RaceDepartment, the Toyota Corolla Cup 2012. This is a WTCC mod by Sven Hielscher and this event is promoted by Leon Charmant. Sven is signed up to run so join him on the track and in TeamSpeak for this innagural event! These cars seem to have great handling. You won't be running to the garage trying to pick the best car to suit the track but you will have to pick a custom skin, of which there are many, as each driver is expected to be in a unique car.
Friday brings us To Autódromo do Estoril! Mini's will be tested here, drivers too as tough corners and long straights will tell us who "get's it" when this 80 minute race is over.
The Retro '87 cars will be running on Saturday. These older but very lively WTCC cars will be laying down rubber on Imola's run through the open countryside. Enjoy the "curva" and challenge yourselve to master the "Variante"!
Club races are open to all RaceDepartment licensed members, if you don’t have a license yet stop by our Pit Lane in the forums to pick one up for free.
All events have practice, qualifying and warmup sessions as well as the races. Plenty of time to get your equipment in shape for the drive. Whether you’re coming back to Race 07, just picked it up or have been racing with us for a while please stop by the forums and say “Hi” or get help if needed.
