Hi Marco, there are some standard improvements you can make on your Porsche.

  • Brake pressure: 93%
  • Brake bias: 58 - 42
  • Tires front: soft
  • Tires rear: Medium
  • Caster: 5.0
  • Rear wing: +/- 4 to 6
  • Anti rollbar front: 70
  • Anti rollbar rear: 25
  • Steering lock: 15 degrees
  • Profiler for G25 / G27: 500 degrees
This is most of the time my standard setup. Do a view laps with it and let me know if you like this one..

This MOD is made for GTR evo. I don't know if it works with Race 07 only.

It does. Maybe this is a newer version than the one I tried, but GTR-E is just an expansion pack for Race07 anyway, mods should work the same.

I've tried the cars on this same track a few months ago. Hit a lamppost at very high speed and managed to do about 15 somersaults before landing :D.

Great cars, great track, have fun :)

EDIT: tried it now, works :)

Adam, I guess I had successfully installed the track and had no issues running offline. I have some type of issue with the game and not running the same version? message when trying to enter server.
I'm fairly certain the game is up to date, never had issues joining open servers.

Crazy glue and a bottle of accelerator beat duct tape for such things as mic booms..........watch the burn though.
I used to run an older Thrustmaster Formula "Frankenwheel" with some modified buttons. Had to keep a soldering iron on during league races for those emergency repairs. Sticky duct tape is one thing, knocking the iron into your lap, a real hoot!
This kind of reminds me, haven't run with TS on in a year. I like the surround sound so much it's tough to limit input to two headphones. I use a laptop for TS with one of those low end single earphones (surprisingly comfy) with cheap mic boom. That way the racing sounds are always constant and fine with TS never interupting the game sounds. The best feature is the volume controls, very simple to adjust both as you like.
New issue, (don't you just love new guys and all their issues?) an uncontrollable bouncing ip from the wireless router (cox says there is no fix) which causes me to use the Sprint broadband card for TS, which has been dropping packets lately....guess it's time to take the hit and run ts on the same machine as the game.

Damn Peter I haven't seen a laundry list like this since..............

OH yeah when I got starteed here at RD! LOL

really not sure why your having the issues with the track in ONLINE play.

I know every once in awhile a track install can be a real PITA but your having an unusually tough time with this one.

I like to take the zip file and open it right there and dig thru the folders til I get to the "track name" folder. I then open that folder to be sure the creator hasn't dumped the REAL track folder inside that one!

ie. Folder names "thunder forest loop SETUP" and you cant see all that verbage so you ASSUME its the actual track folder. Then it gives you headaches and you go one level deper and find a folder inside it that is called "thunder forest loop" and BAM Thats the real track profile!

Also, when you sign into the online lobby in the game, if either the car or track info says "unknown" then you aren;t getting in the game and will have that "running mod game" message we all love.

Edit: Just downloaded the track file agin and this is as straightforward as they come. unzip to the folder "thunder Forest" and drop it in the following path to the locations folder.

c:/Program files/ Steam/Steam/apps/your steam name/Race07/Gamedata/locations

HTH

Eric

yes this is a scratch build fresh from FVRFactor. Some bug issues were corrected. Always use the track link in the race announcement since tracks do get created in a fresh piece of work.

ie: 1977 Mosport and Mosport 09, Mont Tremblant & Mont tremblant 09 etc.
