I will ask this again as maybe you will not see my earlyer post Remco :):
"Remco, what about the live thing? Is there a posibility to broing a broadcaster in spot 25? even without comment is great to have such a enduro broadcasted. :)"

I will place my message again, maybe you didnt see my earlier post David
You are correct Dave, we will have no broadcast for this event.

We did our best to get the event on air but unfortunately with the little time we had we didnt succeed :(

The 25th spot will be filled by a reserve driver.

I came into this event wondering where I'd stand, considering that I'd never driven this track before and I had decided to go for the Lacetti - a car which I generally avoid due to it being too tail-happy for my liking. Thankfully, I got the setup right, and I loved the track. Throughout the event, the car felt so hooked up I felt I could do anything with it (quite a rarity for me and the Chevy :p). A few teething troubles in practice were quickly solved, and I was able to more or less match Ryan's pace within a few laps.

Qualifying: Pole! I was very happy with the car and the way it handled.

Race 1: I started averagely, and was set back when I knocked Kevin off at T2... sorry for that buddy. I waited to let him by, and then concentrated on getting my lost positions back cleanly. The car seemed to come into its own. I found myself consistently gaining on whoever was in front of me, and with a few laps to go I was eyeing Ryan for 3rd (or was it 2nd? I can't remember). Unfortunately, I had to try and conserve fuel... I had put too little in and tried to keep up the pace while shifting 1500rpm lower than normal. I would have DNF'd, had gallant Eric not come to the rescue and offered to push me along for the last lap. I made it across the line with literally nothing left in the tank. Thanks Eric, I owe you one... :D

Race 2: Started P2, with a few more litres of fuel in the tank... lesson learned from Race 1. I pulled away with a comfortable lead, but went off at Lightbulb on lap 1 or 2 and had to let Tyler through. We were neck and neck timing and pace-wise, and I was finding it hard to catch up to him, so all I could do was sit tight and hope I could catch him up. Unfortunately for Tyler, he had a small mishap at T3 on a particular lap and I came storming through. From then on, it was simply a case of maintaining the gap, so close were we in pace. It came close, with the gap getting under half a second at one point, but I pulled through and took my first win in Touring cars at RD, and my first RD win in over a year. It feels as if the pressure's off once again, and I can rest easy knowing that all my bad luck has finally come right. I'm so happy, I was literally shaking after I took my hands off the wheel.

Thanks Eric, RD and all racers at this event for this morning's racing (morning for me, at least). This track HAS to be raced more. I'll see you guys next week... :D

Yea, this is a really flowing track, I hope to cut another second or two off my time, but I could be dreaming. Funny thing is that in the DTM cars I have less power but did almost the same times as in the GT pro cars. Larry you should jump in the DTM race Sunday, same track you can use it as practice. On second thought, don't join, you don't need the practice:wink:.
