Man, how unhappy I am:( It could have been a double win but I lost connection (ghost mode). Finished 2nd race and I was shocked that I can't see anybody:( Must have been in the last couple of laps though. (last 1-2)
My time was 31:59.685.

These connection problems start to annoy me...

1st race really enjoyed, some good battles even in these fast cars.

2nd race..........well, i`ll leave it there :(

thanks very much for setting this up eric, will it be a regular occurance with each f1 race?

was you i think......really sry, i was spun in the middle of the track....can't doing nothing for not be hitted sry again m8.......i found why my car was so unstable.....i did the same error for both races, but now i know why.....this was a good lesson for me.....

You left your pit stop late Peter, before you were discoed I think I may have overtaken you while you pitted.

I had a great race one started and finished about 5th.

Race 2 made a good start but i span in T3 and had to wait for the whole pack to go past. Was working my way up but got hit several times, and then I hit someone as they reentered the track in the highspeed uphill section. It was on lap 5 so I had to do a lap with suspension and aero damage before being able to pit.

After the very long pit stop I enjoyed trying to work my way back up the field again.

Even with my own spin and being hit, I still enjoyed the race.

These cars are a great challenge and therefore also very satisfying to drive. It is great to race with such a big grid with guys who do their best to make it a clean race, even if it doesn't always work out.

So to the guy who hit me from behind and the guy who drove out in front of me on the hill. All is forgiven.

I could not find a nice balance with the setup and in the end used alot of wing. This my freinds was a big mistake as I had no straight line speed. All I could hope for was other drivers making mistakes for me to gain positions which in the end worked out okay.
R1= P6
R2= P4.
Enjoyed the racing anyway and see you all soon.
:)

Mini's at historic Bridgehampton Raceway!!

Bridgehampton was a "Major" Motorsports location in the Northeast USA for 40 years! F5000, Can Am ,Trans Am and other top level racing class' competed here in the dunes of the beach. Very fast and completely unforgiving this track will test your nerves to push the limits!

Even in a MINI challenge car, you'll find yourself trying to best your last lap just one more time!

And While you are lapping, try to picture yourself in a 1,000 h.p. Can Am machine trying to hold off Mark Donahue for the win! OR if you are Motorcycle guru picture yourself trying to catch RD's very own Dennis Phelan who raced MOTO here back in the day!(BTW he is signed up for the event!)

Well that was messy!!

Maybe it was one of those nights or people were on a "Get Michael" rampage :tongue: My car was a magnet for others.

Race 1: I got punted on 1st lap and that broke my suspension. Got back to the pits but they couldn't really repair it so I had a huge crabbing - retirement was inevitable.

Race 2: Great start from last place, up to 5th....but then got punted again!! Are you kidding me!! What is it with the rear of my car???? Bent suspension but this time I could get to the pits and fixed whilst doing my obligitory pit stop. 40s later and I was on my way in 15th place. Putting in the laps and gaining some positions. But again, got tagged by someone and bent suspension again. ....juddering wheel and a bit of a tracking issue.....2s slower as a result. But I held position and then finished after a few dropped out in 2nd place.

Horribly frustrating session. Not sure if it was that people were racing too close and forgetting that these are not tin tops, or that these F1 cars are so edgy and difficult to control in close racing...either way....darn it!!

Thanks to all, and look forward to next session.
