LOL Tom, I must say i really enjoyde tonight Brands first race was a stonker i thought i started 20th got a ocket start past 3 cars off the grid , then was just keeping myself on track then on the last lap their was 3 of us scrapping for 8th but i spun
:( and finished 10 :(
2nd race wasnt all brill at all! got around the first lap ok then 2nd lap coming out of druids spun and stalled, Next lap spun but no stall ;) then lap after coming out of graham hill bend got to much curb and Spun and guess what ? I stalled lmao

Then Vara i qualified 9th which i was quite pleased with to be honest (not a hotlap specialist at all!) then when we were all lined up and the lights wer on i made a NOOBISH mistake, I STALLED which ive never done in real life(for some reason :S) but i strted it up again and just got away and made a place of the line! lol some how :S!
But it was confusing using a game pad and not having 3 pedals as saving up for G25 :) or thrust master!
Vara Race 2 nothing special hit front of car nocking front wing off and driving for 3 laps with a hell load of understeer but somehow was a tad fast through the corners than some guys!

Valencia, I had me dinner on me lap so didnt do any runs in practice( How foolish!) then qualyfying was 13th out of 16 i think! But guess what? I DIDNT STALL :D lol but jumped the start by the tiniest margin  and then on 3rd lap had to end the night because mum wanted to computer :(

Thankyou guys for all the racing it was good single seater Clean and fun racing with mistakes from almost everybody but were not perfect! And yea so thank you for all the fun tonight :)

Shooting? In an official capacity? Or just for yourself? Sounds good, anyway.

Just for myself, but I have been accused of being better than half the guys covering it in a professional capacity... It's a shame my day job pays as well as it does in some respects as I'd love to try and crack into motorsports photography... My highlights gallery from last years' Rally is here....

This was one of my favourite shots from last year...

This year I am acting as a guide for the official Rally Tours so we get excelent access and some exclusive viewing spots... One of the things I love about Rallying (in NZ at least) is that there's very little restriction on where you can stand, excluding the super special stage of course.

Cheers - N

US/Canada time zone event

wtccnight.jpg

Welcome USA time some event.

This race is primarily aimed towards our members in the United-states, Canada, and South America so the race times are set for that zone. However, we welcome entrants from other timezones who would like to race at this time and help us to maximize our starting grid.
The only thing we ask is that priority be given to US/Canada members since they often don't get the opportunity to race other events.

For this event, we will use the WTCC 07 cars and will use the Limerock Mountain track

Signups will close 1Hr before the Practice start time

Well for a first race with these babies it went not to bad.

1st race @ Brands started in 15th and dropped to 22nd by the end of turn one, but it was my own fault as i was too close to the cars in front and lost it under braking trying to avoid them so my grass tracking cost me plenty. After that it was a good fight to get the positions back so i was happy when i grabbed 12th.
Race 2 lady luck was not with me as i tried to dodge spinning cars in front of me which cost me plenty and when i came across one driving across the road as opposed to along the road then my grass tracking to avoid it meant i had to go and say hello to one of the tyre walls and they are harder than my car.

Vara i just do not know the track well enough but i was very happy to get 14th on the grid but i locked up the wheels going into a bend which cost me my front spoiler so with only a few corners left i limped back to the pits but i guess i screwed up my pit board as i left the pits just the same as when i went in, so got pissed off and hit esc.
Race 2 started 22nd and soon dropped back even further when i maybe showed to much caution in the first few corners but i guess it paid off as i remained in one piece and managed to bring it home in 14th. I could really get to like this track but i really need to practice as it showed when my best laps were only 1:54's which are some 6 seconds off from the leaders. :pout:

Valancia in race one was fine, started 8th dropped to 2nd last by the end of turn one and by the end of the lap i am back to 9th again. Was happy to finish 6th even though it should of been 7th but David gifted me a place when he went wide on the last corner.
Race 2 started in 3rd but David got the more grip off the line so i got in formation for the first corner only to get harpooned in my ribs halfway around the corner by an England Team Colours car with enough force to send me flying off into the tyre wall and race over.
I guess he did not like the 2 team Scotland cars in front of him.

I was in that England car. If you watch the replay I was basically more that half way up your inside and perfectly going along the edge of the curb. You started to close into the curb and me which caused the accident. It happened so quick I think it was near enough impossible to avoid.
