As promised yesterday.. some words about my two races :)

It was actually quite some time since I last raced here in a racedepartment event.. until summer this year I struggled to keep my race07 running for more than just 2 laps. My pc crashed all the time so I quit the STCC league and did not participate in any club events (and along came iRacing, so...)

Race1: Made it through the first corner mayhem and was right behind Mark Guy and Paulo Ribeiro. Both of them fighting for position with Buxton and other GTPro racers right behind them.
Managed to get past both and was even able to pull away some. But then I got some concentration issues and slowed down.. after not being able to hold Paulo back any longer I tried to follow as close as possible and maybe snatch his position in last lap - did not work out as Paulo was clearly faster and ran cleaner laps.

Race2: Was again able to get a clean start (even passed the pitlanetourist, hehe) and got in a tight fight with Mark this time. I remember to have made some corners two wide with him.. but once we both hit each other just slightly, so Mark on the outside went into the gravel. After waiting a bit because I was not sure if it was me I got back up to speed and was able to catch up on Paulo - another great battle began, this time I got the better end of it and managed to keep my car on the road all the time. But it was a great fight and man.. that pressure right on the fender of my car was like hell! :mohawk:

So, thumbs up to Paulo and Mark for two great races. (..sorry Mark if it was me causing your trip into gravel..)
The difference in handling and top speed in these club cars made for some good moments and it required to adjust the strategy somewhat.

And thanks again to David for this fun event. Hope I'll be back for more club events in the near future.
