My Triple Track Tale for Porto - Brno - Macau

I really didn't think I'd actually finish any of the races until I started to really practice (Well just a dozen laps or so) at Porto. I then started to really get into the flowing format these cars respond with when putting in OK laps. I even qualified upper mid pack :) ...and that was a good feeling :) However, after a Jump start attracting a "Drive Through" Penalty...

I got flusted and even more from the jostling at the start, I'd just like to say when I get off the line well. and the car/s ahead don't I pass them only if I can see I'm not going to clip them, and thought it was kinda rough getting bumped over out the way by people who, just ended up losing it further on in the same cold lap, But there was room to go round slower and not have to clip me just to avoid a car ahead, and to get back to YOUR racing line... Not very sporting...

Anyway I din't finish a lap unfortunately the bashing I got and further trouble due to a few cars together a few more turns ahead. saw my suspension shot, And a fat lady singing "you picked a fine time to leave me Loose Wheel" Saw me Mech DNF... oh well :( And I did have pace there too... still watched some good scraps though. in the end only 2 cars I think actually finished the race in a car that went over the line :pound:

So, onto Race 2 Brno, and most of those who were pushy guys had left. And out we went Again not bad quilly time, made row3 on grid.... :)

And we're off to a fairly good start, just a lil rubbin after a short time rythms set in and cars grouped. Had some really good racing in this one Brno was great for these cars too...
And this time I actually got up on the Podium finishing in P2...

Lastly Macau, never seen this before and? Well? You'all must recall your first time with this Witch  I mean you need a toothpick to race there just by first looks :) But it does slowly come to you...

Anyway with I believe just 4 of remaining 2 of us didn't get half way round the first lap lol :D I would've made third as I actually covered about 75mts more than the other guy who lost it before me we both lost a wheel in separate incidents... After that I watched the end of lap one and the leader was already 20secs up on P2 so I thought I know how this is going to end and left...

I did despite what I say have a great time and can really see potential in these cars. Thanks heaps to Bram and the guys for getting us up and running...

I look forward to more F3000 Racing :thumb: :becky:  :becky: :thumb:

Later all, G...

Another night of experience for me that went as usual pretty rubbish :D

Race 1: Porto, had my usual rubbish qualifying second from the back lights went green and guy who was last on grid did not even turn up, so only 7 cars started I think, made some progress after a couple of cars tangled and out of the race they went was being pushed hard by Keith when I lost the back end and ended up horizontal on the track and due to where I was I chose to Esc had front runners where not far below and did not want to ruin anyone else’s race.

Race 2: Brno, same old quali situation, again due to a few off's i gained some positions and was actually 3rd at one point woohoo but was pushed hard by the two cars behind, then wheel touched grass and barrier here I come and suspension damage and nose cone knocked off, managed to finish in the end last of the runners that remained on the track.

Race: 3: Macau only four of us started i believe by the start of lap 2 only 2 where left but by this point Neil was already about 30secs ahead of me LOL, managed to run till about lap 12 when I lost my wheel limped back to pits but it was good night for my car.

Overall I enjoyed driving these cars it is just a shame that this was not a popular event and being well rubbish meant I did not really have anyone to race against which was a shame.

I think these might be more appealing if we kept away from street circuits and possibly made this a sprint event as 15 laps seemed to be to much for most of us who could not even make the first 5.

So we have the Caterham’s tonight hopefully there will be a better turn out here and I can actually have some people to race against :)

this was my first session on the racedept servers and pretty much the first time i've done f3000... (only had the game for about a week!)...

missed the first race... but got on for brno... which was nice, cause already know this track from other games like motogp... managed to quali 2nd, i think... and stayed in sight of neil for the first 3 or 4 laps, before taking too much kerb, sending me into a spin and i spent 30 seconds doing donuts trying to get the blahdee thing pointing in the right direction again... lost out to the two grants but managed to get them both back by the end of the race... \o/

macau... man, the evil minds at play here!... never seen the track before and i had to learn it with an f3000! as you can imagine, practice and qually involved a lot of return to garage... race itself started ok and i figured i could hang out in third for a bit, following grant p around... it was a nice plan - and lasted about half a lap before an enthusiastic corner meant a spin which introduced tyres to armco and it was buh-bye from me...

bring on the caterhams!

It's possible to upload the Melbourne track into this thread? Because Nogrip has decided to ban my account (for duplicate account reason, because my brother has also an account and he play on my pc). Nogrip they changed their rules from day to day without preventing (they have my email). I was banished as a swine.
