Cars Problem with importing .fbx to Blender

I imported the fbx to Blender to remove some stuff hanging from the mirror.
The only problem I have is that the mesh on the rear bumper is incorrectly shaded/textured.
It can be seen in Blender right after import and then in ksEditor (after exporting from Blender).
Could anyone help with this?
The BMW E34 model that I'm trying to modify is from here:

What did you use to make the fbx? It looks like half the triangles got turned inside out so you'll need to use blender's "recalculate normals outside" tool.
