In a couple of weeks we will start with the 3rd edition of the @Fat-Alfie championship with all his magnificent tracks.
With Emperor, SOL en CSP we have the opportunity to these events in a 24h day/night format using 24x time multiplier.

We can do that instead of 1 hour of daylight racing as usual.
The decision will be made democratic by voting.

Please post here your preference:

  • 24hour or
  • Daylight
Please answer only with one of those.

I'm tempted by 24hr but these are tricky enough tracks so daylight. But I'll still join if it's 24hr.

As a reminder, I'll be running a parallel Fat-Alfie championship in the classic cars - probably the Alfa GTAM/Ford Escort. I'm not sure how good the headlights are but I'll run the same format if possible. I'll also probably run the same track on the following Tuesday so you've had chance to learn the circuit in the MX5/Abarth.

In a shameless plug you can try these cars out next week...

I assume you have to be careful with winter times as I believe AC will take the seasons into account. So a 8pm finish time might actually be dark. If it's true then I assume we can just fix the date to be something like 1st July?

I might be talking rubbish but worth checking.

A good compromise by Hank, may i take that further and say 8am start and 8pm finish with clear sky all day. The trees on these tracks make early and late light driving really nice
I've tested it with 12x multiplier and it works but you need WeatherFX from CSP to be active.

Yes you can choose the day of the year. I wouldn't be surprised as it even takes the location of the track in mind so an European track may have different behaviour than an Australian track on the same day. I didn't test that yet.

Guys, there´s no reason to be afraid in the dark and hide under your car.:p
Just try it and see its really fun

And if you can´t stand it you could always use your "out of date" PC as an excuse:O_o:

(don´t tell anyone but that could actually be legit)

May I suggest a 50/50 mix at random a 24H race will be nice but i dont know about every race plus it tanks VR performance but i can get around that. I'm happy either way though.

If daylight only then maybe Hank's or Steve's idea.

Daylight gets my vote

I like 24hr racing, but prefer to have it rooted in simulating real races, le mans, rolex 24, n24 etc

Plus I don't think my PC can handle day / night here without looking a bit potato ish. (I'm not sure I could handle these tracks without crashing at night :roflmao:)

Some change in time could be fun though, doesn't haven't to be full 12hrs or anything.
