DiRT Rally Oculus VR Settings CV1

Just getting up to speed on CV1 with dirt rally. I have a 1080GTX and I've seen a few posts where people are running Ultra settings but i'm nowhere near that. A couple questions:

1) Is there a way to permanently change pixels per display in a file somewhere? I'd rather not use Oculus dev kit each time

2) What settings have the biggest impact on performance?

I'm running a ppd of 1.5 and finding most settings on medium to low which is fairly astonishing with a 1080.

started using ASW and locking fps at 45. Now, I can run a lot higher settings which is what most folks must be doing as well. I've got most things turned up to high and couple on ultra. Probably the best looking game on the oculus at the moment.

Glad to hear your not the only one i am using a 8 gig 480 and had to start with ultra low then pick and choose sparingly on other settings. ppd 1.1 after much messing about went same route as you ASW and locking fps at 45.
Would be great now if i could stop feeling ill when using
