Anyway, make sure you have - Maximum pre-rendered frames = 1 -

You can change this using nvidia inspector, makes a big difference, will lower your fps a little (2-5)

A bit of additional info Nick10....

Several people have complained about black or blank screens with the GTX970.
I too had a similar issue initially when using the newest Nvidia drivers.
I went to Gigabyte's website and found they listed the 344.11 and that's what I use.
The black screen went away and the boot time is now a bit shorter.
I still do not get the BIOS information on powering on, but it goes straight to the Windows login screen.
