Has anyone got a handle on the new Brabham or Lotus 79 regarding the front end understeer?

I've done about 50 laps say on both and I just can't quite them around the track without acting like a drift car. It doesn't seem realistic.

I wouldn't say that I have a handle on either but with the Brabham it's pretty important to keep to rpm up at all times through the corners because the fan speed is connected to rpm. Higher rpm = higher fan speed = higher downforce.

For me, I just gave it a bit more front wing, a notch or two softer on the front bar, and gave it more rear brake bias. And I do brake earlier than I do with the more modern F1 cars. These 2 cars are going to make it hard for me to drive any other sim for a while, because they're the most realistic sim experience I've ever come across... Especially with VR, and a SimuCube DD steering that's set up properly. I'm loving what the Reiza crew is doing these days!

Great Update,

fanother fantastic car from Reiza !
Not easy to drive but great fun, what I appreciated very much is the option to avoid double grid numbers and liveries when choosing number of opponents..

I have made some reviews in 4k in english and german language on YT.

The Brabham looks nice and/but feels very lively, not the 'glued to the asphalt like experience' I thought it would be because of that fan.
L79 is more forgiving default setup on/over the limit imho.

Thanks Reiza!

Cheers

Thanks for the videos.
I just drove Kyalami '76 in the Brabham, just like you did in the video with OPPONENTS set to MAX AVAILABLE.
This is ingame and there are still two Lotusses 79 with both the #5 and #55 livery....

I don't know what I did wrong?
Or is it because the #5 skin is a modded skin? (from overhere @RD )

Cheers
Robin

you did nothing wrong, game still coincidentally loads just any liveries, some of them can show up twice.

edit: but reiza fixed the problem already within some classes as far as i could see. but in f_retro 2, it is still there.
