The release notes for the new driver (2018_TTRS_1) only seem to mention changes relevant to the TS-PC and the TX:

Changes made in new driver version 2018_TTRS_1:
- Add new firmware for the TS-PC Racer & for the TX Racing Wheel:
* TS-PC Racer: Firmware V8
* TX Racing Wheel: Firmware V53

Is there any reason to update the driver if you don't have those wheels?

My TS PC racers is working fine. Is there any reason to take the risk to update firmware and drivers? Assetto Corsa never was a problem but Dirt Rally was a headache to configure, until I finally figured out how to make the game detect it and keep the configuration. I wonder if there's a way to go back in case of disaster?

If it aint broke, dont try to fix it. But i always want the latest stuff so i upgraded my TS-PC.From what i have noticed is the fan blowing shorter to cool the unit down. Dont know if that's a good thing or not as i havent opened it up to measure the motor temps.
Could be a nice project: a digital motor temp readout...mmm...
