Moza R5 better desk wheel mount ?

Late to the Direct wheel party, but I made it. Has anyone come up with a better Desk wheel mount than stock? The Moza mount is good, but the screws underneath stick down too far and hit my knees !
I'm willing to do a bit of DIY . Also have to do a bit of DIY with pedal as they slip quite a bit, so I put blocks behind them, but its sort of hit or miss on the distance.
Last thing is I can't leave my wheel attached all the time, so I have a need to connect and reconnect all the connections everytime I want to use the wheel.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
BTW If there are any good forums in addition to this one about Moza equipment, please let me know.

Wow, this bolts are really (unecessarily) long.

So first try would be to cut them to length, but then you´d have to find a way to reaffix the
"pressure piece" so they won´t cut into your desk.

Amazon (EBAY?) seems to have complete replacement parts for the bolts complete with both "ends".

If that´s still to long there are also replacement clamps complete with bolt that should fit
( or can be made to fit.)
