La montaine - Alpine A110 1600s - 1971 Nürburgring 96h winner - 1971 A110 driven by Thérier, Nusbaumer and Henry

In 1971, three famous french rally drivers had the weird idea of entering a rally A110 in a 96 hours touring event run on the infamous Nordschleife.

Surprisingly enough, the Alpine was very much in the pace and eventually won the event overall.
