But how can we use our own server? This looks very much like an iRacing solution where you buy time on one of their machines.

We already have our small server park to take care off and this means additional costs to run events for R3E while we have plenty of space to host it ourselves.

Can somebody from S3G comment on this please?

The solution we're looking at for the UI is a web page yes but it can (and will) of course interact with a local executable
