I was getting the Failed message when trying to download the rfmod, when I downloaded and installed it manually it worked fine.

I don't know for sure if the issues are related to custom skins. But it seems that: when a user with a custom skin leaves the server it introduces lag on the server.

You can use a custom skin if you want to.

Maybe we can see a difference between a user with a custom skin leaving the server and rejoining the race and a user with a default skin. (Hopefully nobody has to)

We will see what happens. And hopefully it makes sense and we find the culprit.

it seems that often you have to try a few times.
It took me about 4 goes and suddenly it all downloaded.
