DiRT Rally 2.0 Is there a workaround for the sudden loss of audio?

I've stayed away from DR2 for a while now and was hoping codies had fixed the audio issue, but apparently that's not the case. There's still the random loss of all audio in the middle of a stage. Does ayone know of a workaround for this?

This is the shortest workaround for me:

Alt + Enter from the game
go to the Speaker icon in the system tray
right click and select sounds
select the Playback tab
choose another audio output and click Set Default
choose your original audio output and click Set Default
click on your game and press Alt + Enter
