Dunno. Based on Blizz' failed in game voice chat and Xbox' in game voice chat, I think we are FAR better off running a third party application like discord for voice. The only drawback is that discord runs much better on a pc than on a console.

Couldn't agree more.
Voice/VOIP codecs have gotten so much better over the past 15 years and we need it.
Chat is not enough.

Yesss really! Imagine a system like in hell let loose, where you can hear the others when you are window to window. If its a cool guy, "press K to give him a talkie walkie ". Then you got it in your channel like if that was a discord
