Ideal monitor size for sim rigs

The bigger the monitor the slower the response time (mostly) and the more expensive.
I have 3X27 screens. Thought about buying 3 32inch tv's but didn't in the end cause I read in several threads that they were too slow for rendering the images for racing games.
and 29inch monitors are expensive!!

Thanks for the response. Pretty much mirrors the information I am finding on the internet.
Turns out, 27-28" monitors is the ideal size for Eyefinity/Surround racing.
But the 27" I want is USD $700.00 each.
