F1 2017 How to get faster with wheel?

I bought F1 2017 this weekend and started practicing on Monza Time Trial. I'm currently at place 40 on the PS4. However I can't get closer to the guys on the top of the leader-board.

Do you guys maybe have some tips for me? I use a G29 with saturation on 40 and linearity on 10. I use the same setup as the guy I want to beat.

i m using ts 300 wheel and my first impression was, oh dear much time to work out a wheel setting... perhaps someone can give tipps ...
would really appreciate if someone could post the settings for steering breaking and accelerating
( saturation/deadzone/linearity ).

i only can say that, u don t need a steering deadzone at all.
A little deadzone for accelerating / breakes is only useful if u put your foot the hole time on the pedal.
