MGP19 How to get fast!?!?

Guys,
I need help! I just can't get any speed! I am so SLOW!
Is the key to power slide around corners and not just a tight line?

I've got an illness which makes things difficult, like trying to power slide!
I've lost my bike license and the only way I can ride a bike is in a game.
So any advice would be greatly appreciated!

good line in to maximize exit , so many things make a fast lap , on and off throttle , good coast , brake marker for turn in , but just like real life practice practice practice , not every one is naturally good at relating a flat screen to a corner , and most of all it's a challenging game so FUN is the aim .
