hot brakes

Racing with a maclaren 720 in Bathurst I have received a few warnings by Crewchief about hot brakes.

I can open the duct braking from 20% (default) to 60% but I lose 0.5 second per lap, but the warning disappear. I would like to know what values do I have to watch to see if I have really a problem.

The real race will be a long race (90 minutes) and I don't know if the brakes will withstand.

I find that the comments from crew chief seem to be quite random at times and don't correspond to what is actually happening, I may be totally wrong though but I still use crew chief. If I am wrong I apologise to the author.
