PC2 Hosting Questions

Hi all, sorry if this has been covered before, I couldn't find anything so. I have a couple of questions about hosting. I'm setting up a session for my brother to join with AI, but i've noticed a couple of things and I don't know if its designed like that or i'm just doing something wrong.

So we had a bad start and a big pile up took us both out, is there a way to restart the race or session ? or just change settings without leaving the lobby and starting all over again?.
