HistorX Mod Version 1.96 & DL link

As a avid GTL club racer im always on the look out for the next GTL, and after a good few days testing with fellow club drivers im very impressed with this mod,
I feel it may be a successor to GTL for a club racing, the ffb is very good with the real feel plugin, superb sounds from the cars plenty of well made liveries and a great selection of cars to choose from.

Who is driving this mod would any be interested in using this mod for club racing, with the added bonus
of other content from Rfactor to be used once in a while for fun nights, If we get enough interest i will consider running a few test nights to see how it all comes together as a package.

Nice one Tim. You did mention that it was something to do with overlays conflicting with each other and it seems that d3d9.dll doesn't like more than one program using it at the same time. Well done for working it out and passing the knowledge on to others, you get a gold star for that mate.

@Denis Betty. Glad I could help you mate. It wasn't too much trouble really and we found out something new about installing the mod in Windows 8 along the way.

Not sure where to ask this, but this thread might do.

I've just installed the GID Plug-in to have a look, and after playing around for some time, I've started configuring it to remove most of the unwanted stuff (which is quite a lot of it), but I can't get rid of that Track map overlay. It overlays all of the screens, and is quite distracting, so I'd like to remove it but only keep a few of the other overlay icons.

Is there a simple switch or setting somewhere to turn the track map off?

Ok guys its screen shot time. As you may of seen Yves made us our first club race flyer for posting the club races,
Now as there are many classes and sub classes in HistorX, we could soon end up with numerous flyers for our events so many it would be hard to keep track on.
So what we can do is post our screen shots in the new Photo Gallery on RD and i then have a good selection to choose from, if you label then HistorX and the class or division i can browse and maybe use them in the flyers, (you will even get credited in the post)..

Happy snapping Guys.

Or you can try your hand at a flyer with a template click on the one you use
GIMP XCF file
PHOTOSHOP PSD file

Find a nice screen shot from each class and copy the picture into the template provided
you may need to reduce it in size to fit.
Check in the game folder to see which class the cars come under
Games\HistorX\rFactor\GameData\Vehicles\HISTORIC GT\HISTORICAL FIA GT

@Warren Dawes just press the 0 key on the key pad right of the keyboard, make sure you have numlock pressed or it dont work
Thanks Rupe, that worked.

Now I have one more.

When I'm watching a replay, or even on the exit screens (from the game), I have a scrolling leaderboard / results type info running across the top of the screen, as well as the leaderboard list. Any way to remove those but still retain the objects while driving?

EDIT: BTW, if I open the GID menu (Alt Space) and use the option to "Reset Layout", as advised in the Manual, it freezes my PC and I have close everything with Task Manager. Is this normal?

Whilst watching a replay i tend to turn all off with Ctrl+space i don't know if you can just have the leaderboards up and running apart from turning of the scrolling leaderboards in game before you start the replay. long winded way of doing it.

Gid menu should not freeze you game if you reset it..
Don't know what's up there.
will ask a few question and have a look.

Is the engine health working as you need the version of .exe that Roland posted maybe that has something to do with it

There is the alternative hud that can be used rfdyn hud if this one is not fully working for you Warren. Click me

We also have a new spotter guide that Davy Vandevenne showed me Click me
Dont forget to turn the in game one off, if you use it,
it works better than the in game one and is completely modderble as to what you hear...

I just tried to upload some screenshots, but got an error because "my image might contain nudity, which is not allowed in here"??? Admittedly, it was some car-porn, but i swear there was no nudity involved :D! Any ideas what i'm doing wrong?

Thanks, renaming the pic didn't help, i'll try a different one. Maybe the body of the Sprite Sebring was just too curvy :).

Edit: Yep, apparently it was that one pic only. Other screens do not cause problems.

I've posted the link earlier in some thread, here you go for all SLN Track updates :):

http://updates.slnart.com/

Targa Florio is pretty by default.

Edit: Note that "Northamptonshire (Silverstone)" gives online mismatches.

Edit2: Oh and don't install the Bathurst textures, the track has been updated after SLN released his textures.
