Help with trottle pedal

Hello, I'm resetting my pedal springs again and I have a problem with my trottle pedal... I know how a brake should feel like and how a clutch should feel like, but how a trottle pedal feels like?

Any of you that have a car or a good quality pedals, can you describe how it feels? Linear all the way, or kinda progressive? Stiff, mushy? Is it hard enough to be able to rest your foot on it without pressing it, or so soft, that you can press it all the way only with the weight of your foot? What is the travel, generally?

In real cars its just a pull spring as far as I know, so i got nothing to judge by.

should be pretty linear (the resistance doesn`t change much) and easy to press .. at least on road cars
