DiRT Rally Heel toe?

Hey guys,
Is there any advantage to heel toe downshifting in this game? It's fun to do, but it not obvious to me you are penalized if you don't do it, ie as far as I can tell, the car doesn't destabilize. Any thoughts? Love this game

Well, if you are driving the vintage cars I don't see it hurting. Just in case one day you win the lottery and you buy yourself a Stratos or a Group B lancia, you'll be all set to drive it properly (I don't think either need double clutching like my old fiat 500).
I H&T all the time in the vintage cars but no, it doesn't make a difference. The only thing that is simulated is that you have to have the clutch engaged, but the RPM is not factored.

There is a chance that if you come to a very slow hairpin and downshift without H&T you may stall the car. If you lock the rear tires any of the vintage cars do stall.
