GTL/GTR2

went thru crap trying to install GT Legends from a Disc...win10 possibly..so I bought it from STEAM..bought a package....when I try to load GTR2 says a file is missing..so won't load..I'm aware of the P&G Mod ..I have GTR2 disc also..should I try to install to retrieve the missing file..anyone have ideas..please and thanks

It is likely a DirectX issue!
Download this one and install
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109

Also in in both root folder of Gtr2 and Gtl there is a install link for Visual C runtime which you need installed in case you do not have it?
Just click Vcredist_86.exe to install.
When it is running copy the entire folder of GTR2 and GTL to a different location like D:\Games
and run from there.
That way you always got a 'clean' un-modded version.

thank you sooooooo much for your time and help..much appreciated...I was doing all this stuff about 10 years ago...my set up was insane...lol...I had 2 stereo spliced 550 watt speaker systems..10 sats..2 subs....not only did I feel it..felt it too...lol..so did my neighbors ..Thanks again I shall try and will get back to you
