I am a newby with this sort of thing.
Sorry to ask this question, in the game it says "templates" are they the templates to the vehicles?
I would like to put my own livery, are they with layers? or am I on the wrong path? Would I have to use the main livery file and change it to the livery I want?

Do you want to create your very own unique livery like we are doing to the Touring cars and Open Wheelers right now, or do you want to creat an ingame livery using layers?

Then your best bet would be to use the files in "livery_user" as a start.
They are already blank (no sponsors), so you can start creating your own livery from scratch
