GT5 Golden Rules & Infractions

As I'm sure you're all aware, RaceDepartment has a number of 'Golden Rules' which are designed to ensure clean, fair racing during all official events. This includes the GT5 club events.

The usual method of policing these rules is with RDs own infraction system. However, this system relies on the Racing Staff being able to review replays of any reported incidents in order to determine what penalty should be applied (if any). As GT5 does not currently feature proper replay controls (fast forward, rewind, etc), it simply isn't feasible to use this system.

As an interim measure, all GT5 events will now have Penalties set to 'weak'. These penalties affect both cutting corners and collisions with other drivers. In both cases the penalty is that the driver responsible will have their throttle cut and brakes applied for five seconds. They will also be 'ghosted' during this period to prevent them becoming a hazard to other drivers.

When (if) full replay controls are added to GT5 so that they can be easily used for incident reviews, then we will switch over to the infraction system.
