Garage upgrade strategy question

So this may be a dumb question...but I'm okay with that, ha.

I own 1 garage and 1 truck currently. I've been using it for Freight Market jobs. After I upgrade my garage and hire a driver, will I need to buy a 2nd truck? I figured I'd give my truck to my hired driver...but what I'm wondering is whether I will need a truck at that point or if I can just take Quick Jobs for a while until I can afford a 2nd truck.

I am not sure if thats possible. I believe you always need to have a truck of your own, once you have a garage. Just a swecond driver, and 1 truck is not possible. You can't assign the truck to the driver, as you are driving it yourself.

Like said, not 100% sure.

I removed my old safegames, so can't reload an old one to test it, sorry

Just buy a truck, and try to place a driver in it. If it doesnt work, fire the driver again, and drive it yourself. Make some money, and get the second truck

Yes it can be done, but you need to take a "quick job" first.
Then, when you are on the road, go to manage garages, allocate trucks and relocate your truck to the hired driver.
Note, you will be only able to take quick jobs untill you get another truck or re-allocate your old one back to yourself.
