Fanatec Fault?

I was playing F1 2013 on PC with the wheel, after completing a race that was approximately 50 minutes long, I noticed some strange behaviour.

When pressing the Y button, it display on the wheel various text such as F09 F90 F98 F86 were some of those display, they went away when you pressed B, but returned upon pressing Y.

I finished playing at this point, but when I turned the wheel back on, instead of it turning full right on self calibration like normal, it spun fast all the way left, then all the way right, and then returned to the centre.

Can this behaviour be explained or do I have a fault?

Forgot to mention:

The spinning to the left issue did go away after leaving it for 10 minutes, but I will be annoyed if I am limited to gameplay of less than 1 hour at a time, especially in a genre of game that often lasts more than 1 hour per session.

Note: The unit is approx 3 weeks old

Thought I would update this.

Text on the wheel was caused by FanaLEDs in F1 2013.

However, I do have a video of the strange self calibration after 1 hour use if I turn it off and on again.
