F1 TV Subscribers?

external player "Race Control".
Thanks for the pointer; I found it on GitHub.
It wants .NET 6.0 Desktop Runtime (x64),
which is available in both console and desktop flavors;
I picked desktop; English audio for 3/10/2022 Day 1 Highlights
had "popping" artifacts with the bundled player
which were not audible when instead using VLC.

Since F1 was the only television I regularly watched,
subscribing to F1TV and cancelling cable TV was a cost reduction,
but F1 TV seems to be just Sky TV's crew, which is no improvement.
Their race drivers are tolerable, but most of the rest appear
under a delusion that witless yammering is entertaining
instead of irritating.

Closed caption is unavailable, which would allow muting.

Pat Symonds and Jean Alesi segments this morning are quite enjoyable.
Evidently, they could not be bothered to stay around long enough to record FTD
by Kevin Magnussen during Haas' hour makeup session.

Bought my first subscription of F1 TV Pro. Very impressed with the app.

Have been watching the 1989 US Grand Prix around the amazing Phoenix street circuit on the big screen this morning during breakfast.

A lot of value with access to all the races from 1970 until today.

One major gripe I have with the service is this:

"6.2 You may only access the Services on up to a maximum of 3 devices with only 1 of those devices permitted to stream content at any one time."

This is a major pain for me. If I have multiple TV's and computers going in my home on race day, this stinks. Is there any way around this?

You should simply try.
Maybe it's IP bound and not really device bound.
I didn't test this yet though..
I only use multiple browser windows on the same device.
Broadcast + stats + my favorite driver + whatever driver picks my interest.

From a Australian point of view I am really pleased with Kayo, coverage can be a little spotty in certain cases but TBH I don't bother with F1 as a priority, I'm more hard core MotoGP. Kayo does have a decent library of previous F1 eras which I do watch.

How can you switch on board camera's in the app during live races?
Android/iOS, phone or tablet? It should be identical to when watching replays!
Just tap onto the screen and a little vertical menu should pop up on the right. globe, camera, track, stats, steering wheel.
Tap on the steering wheel icon and you should be able to choose a driver!

For Germany you also get sky Germany commentary. And switching to English gives you the sky UK commentary.
You don't get their extra image bits though so especially during qualy, they'll sometimes talk about certain overlay graphics they created, while you're watching some driver sitting in their pitbox between sessions.
A bit weird, but doesn't matter much haha

Not watched a single second of anything after 1990 so far, am not even slightly interested int he modern stuff, but the archive is worth the money alone, it cost me 20 quid a few months ago, and is superb

i like the option of muting crofty and listening to the 'new' pitlane channel and jumping to onboards. jolyon's race review shows are enjoyable along with his vintage race analysis. vintage, lol
