F1 2021 F1 20xx - Which Version To Try ?

Looking to try one of the earlier versions of the F1 game but unsure which to go for...not a huge fan of the halo thing - which version did that come in with ? Anyway if there was a big leap forward in graphics / FFB sometime in the previous versions, appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction, thanks

I became a sim racer because of F1 2011 on XBox 360. Just doing the driver training was extremely immersive and an experience. During a driver test, the wheel of my Fanatec Forza CSR nearly ripped from my hands when I had a front tire blowout at 180 mph.

Definitely no halo back then, but I believe you can "disable" i.e. not display the halo in cockpit view on certain later versions.

BONUS!: F1 2011 and other pre-hybrid versions have the advantage of a more pleasing engine sound from the normally aspirated V8s!
