Does the livery affect your driving?

I know this is quite a weird take, but does the livery you drive on the car in a sim affect your driving?
Sometimes I really got the feeling, that the association you've got with a certain livery really can have an effect on your performance. The car just "feels" different knowing you have the livery of a different team with the associations your brain has to that team.
Do people share this feeling sometimes or is it just me? :D

Well, I rarely see my own car because I'm inside it. But 90% of the time I'm driving my own car, which I painted, so naturally think it looks great.

In RL I've known drivers who wanted out of their contracts because they did not like the livery/sponsor, and one who thought it unlucky to drive a green car. FWIW, Dale Earnhardt's first cup car was pink (some truck drivers will not work for Mary Kay Products because their trucks are pink).

But I can see where driving a car you think looks good has a psychological benefit, as opposed to parading around in a car with a ghastly paint scheme.
