Does the FSR 2012 mod work with Rfactor 2?

Got hooked with the racing bug and have been playing a lot of Race07 for the past year. I have just been racing against AI and friends and have been thinking of stepping up to the big leagues and trying to join an organized league. I know it's kinda late to join for the 2013 season but I was hoping to just get R-factor, download the latest FSR mod, and practice/learn for a year before attempting to ask for a seat. My only question is whether the FSR mod works with RF2. I know that either mid-season or next season FSR plans to move to RF2. I don't want to buy RF1 only for it to be obsolete in 6 months so my question is: Does the FSR 2012 mod work on RF2? I'd really like to start practicing as much as possible before the beginning of next year's season. Sorry for the noob question. Thanks for any help.
