I just learned that iRacing's cars have manuals. In 1992 the "Tornado" flight simulator had a 332 page manual! (And that was printed.) Most sim developers give us jack when it comes to docs.

I still have many of those ancient manuals, a couple even hardbound. Today, if you're lucky, the devs may include a sparse pdf file, and even then they are more concerned with telling you how to install and register the game than providing any useful, much less interesting, data about it.

I have written to modern companies asking for info on how to do something within their game ....and been referred to a community forum for assistance.
