Distant Textures - some are sharp, some aren't

Hello folks,

I'm having problems with how distant textures are drawn on my GSCE. Overall, I'm quite pleased with my graphics settings: White lines leading towards the horizon are neither blurred nor pixelated and everything else, like frame rate for example, is fine - except some of the textures tend to be drawn in highest resolution at the very last moment (see attachment, even if compression is quite high).

As you can see, the player just reached the distance where the "Reiza" banner starts to be displayed properly. Centimeters away it's still catastropically blurred. Note the "Pirelli" boards to the left: these are drawn sharply from far away. I'm guessing this has something to do with mipmaps, doesn't it?

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Oliver

I would research two types of video quality features called "clamp LOD" and or "DSR" if you are on Nvidia.
