Data/Gear Ratios

Evening,

I have started playing around with the data files for various cars in game. I have noticed though some cars have ratio files that you can apply to the drivetrain file to adjust acceleration/straight line speed etc. However, some cars dont have ratio files yet have gears ratios noted in the drivetrain file. Where did they get those ratios from? Is there a universal ratio file?

The drivetrain.ini ratios are just used directly by the game. eg. GEAR_1=2.72 just uses a 2.72 gear. No other information is needed to do this, the ratio can just be any number.

The ratio files go with setup.ini, if the car lets you pick ingame then it lists each actual ratio along with its display name.

So to fine tune a great ratio I just input a slightly higher or lower number and the ratio will adjust? That's alot easier than RF and AMS where you had to have specific gearbox files with ratios calculated/worked out exactly! Thank you. I'll put this knowledge to use now
